Something needs to be done about the high housing costs in California. These high housing prices excludes the middle class from the state, who have as much right to live there as their wealthy counterparts.

That's what the free market does: as long demand exceeds supply, the price is high. Demand is high because people want to live here.

They need to get rid of the liberal progressive democrats that are running the state. High property taxes mean higher priced housing.

Property tax rates are generally lower than other states. People want to move to
California, which drives up demand and prices.

You're a lying sack of shit.

If it wasn't for Prop 13, the communist progressive liberal
traitors in California would have a tax of 25% on your home
based on current market value. The average person would never
be able to pay that tax so the state would seize it in a few
    years.

As it is, they found a way to screw homeowners with the Mello-
    Roos tax.

Secondly, there are dead neighborhoods where undesirables live.
Nobody who can afford a house at current prices in California
wants to live in a area full of illegal aliens, meth
manufacturers and the like. That kind of dead zone creates an
artificial shortage of housing and drives up the price of real
estate. The home owners in those neighborhoods are stuck
because they can't sell their homes and they turn them into
    rental properties.

People are moving out of California faster than they are moving
in. They are cashing in on their home equity and leaving with
over a half million dollars or more in cash. That kind of money
goes a long way in Idaho, Wyoming or Montana.

California is dying to feed the bloated pensions of the unions
who corrupted politics in this state.

It's going the way of New Jersey, Illinois and Michigan.

It's a damned shame because California was once the brightest
state in the union for education and business until Democrats
gained power and cultivated union scum into government. That
sucking sound you hear is California Democrats emptying the tax
coffers to pay these criminals inflated pensions and medical
    care.

The only things that can save California are a swarm of
earthquakes or a recurrence of the massive flood that put
Sacramento under 10 feet of water back in the 1800's. The best
thing for Californians is that they would happen at the same
time in San Francisco, Sacramento and Los Angeles killing
    everyone in those areas.
