  • Maybe the Taliban will be BETTER than Trump..

    It appears blanket amnesty has been given and the Taliban is hoping for peace and wishing to heal Afghanistan's issues.

    After all this bloodshed we need to give them a chance... They CAME to the table in a position of power. They are being humble and consolatory.. I think perhaps the WEST has misjudged them.

    Now this Sharia Law is something Westerners are not accustomed of and we were the occupiers. We must not fuck it up by doing something underhanded. They won. Let it be what is is. I think Islamic laws could soften in time. The BIG issues are the
    woman and what THEY will be allowed to do under Islam. Who will be selected as the new leader had better crawl out of the ancient thinking and see that it is not going to work.

    It will be interesting for sure. I think that the religious leaders know that this is a NEW world and they need to have adjustments to the OLD ways. Woman will get NOT much. If I were a a woman there I would be on a jet and heading out of
    Afghanistan. Drug Dealers had best get out ASAP as they will be killed on the spot.

    I doubt they would. They are keenly aware that Americans would demand a 'Fire and Brimstone' response.
    IMHO these Taliban should just get back into producing Hashish. It is something they used to be good at doing.
