You won't boycott the NFL: Football is the American religion. And
American auto companies don't care, because if you refuse to buy
their vehicles (which you haven't), they just get another trillion
dollar bailout.
I probably need a new car, but find it hard to part with my 1998
Mercedes E320. The thing sometimes requires costly work, but
nothing close per annum than what a new American car would cost.
It purrs like a kitten, and the V6 can get up to 29 MPG on the
open road. Meanwhile, the American car companies continued to
churn out 10/MPG monster trucks when gas was $4/gallon, and still
can't figure out how to manufacture fuel-efficient cars.
As for refusing to stand for the national anthem, I consider that
to be a constitutional right. I actually refused to stand for it
way back in high school when I was forced to attend a pep rally
for the school football team. Today I might stand, but I still
refuse to remove my cap (if it were a turban you wouldn't DARE
order me to remove it!). I don't worship flags or songs.
