I've been having a lot of pain the past month and it's spreading. I'm
waiting for a doctor's appointment.

I've had minor OA for seeral decades now but mostly ignore it.

I'm thinking it might br rheumatoid <sp?> arthritis - my mother had it
badly. But the symptoms list in a RA web site I checked says it starts in
the small joints - fingers, wrists, etc. - first, then spreads to other
larger joints such as shoulders. In my case it started in the large
muscles in my thigh, them spread to other leg, arms, back, shoulders, etc. Acetamenophen <sp?> has been little or no help. Also, I'm in my 80s, RA
site says it starts in 50s and 60s.

Any guesses?
