• Eliminate Misinformation to Avoid Ignorance About the 7 DHGCs

    From _@21:1/5 to All on Sat Oct 30 10:55:51 2021
    DHGCs - 7 Disparate High Glucose Conditions,
    see sig for complete details.

    The following is a response to an article that is
    loaded to the brim with misinformation about
    DHGCs:

    - - -
    October 30 2021

    Diabetes [totally misleading as the article is
    almost entirely solely about Cellosis & Pre-
    Cellosis, new superior clarifying terms for
    type 2 diabetes & prediabetes]: 'Eliminate'
    this drink to reduce your risk - what not to eat https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/1513943/diabetes-eliminate-sweetened-beverages-to-reduce-risk
    - - -

    Corrections to the bountiful misinformation
    contained in this article ("contents of this
    article included in quotes")

    ~~~
    1) This article says
    "Diabetes: 'Eliminate' this drink to reduce your
    risk - what not to eat"
    Correction:
    First off, diabetes, an ancient misleading term as
    there are actually 7 Disparate High Glucose Con-
    ditions, see sig for complete details. Later in this
    article their dietician suggests
    ~~~

    2) "that people 'eliminate sweetened beverages'.
    'They have no fat or protein to prevent the carbs
    from rocketing your blood sugar,' Zumpano ex-
    plains."

    Corrections:

    Many sweetened beverages have no carbs and
    no impact on glucose levels (those that are free
    of sugar & sweetened with artificial sweeteners).
    Some sweetened beverages (like chocolate milk,
    & milkshakes) have protein & fat, so her state-
    ment that they have no fat or protein does not ...

    ... apply to those beverages. Also, people who
    use medication which can cause hypoglycemia,
    that's everyone with Islit (Insulinitis, near-total
    to total loss of endogenous insulin) & a minor-
    ity of those with non-Islit DHGCs, are or should
    be fully aware that sugar-sweetened beverages ...

    ... can be an invaluable life-saver when their glu-
    cose is falling rapidly or is going down to dan-
    gerously low levels. NEVER spurn drinking a
    sugar-sweetened beverage when you're in a
    severe hypoglycemia high risk situation as
    your life may depend on it!

    If healthier glucose-raising beverages or food
    are available, then and only then might one not
    drink a sugar-sweetened beverage & instead
    choose a healthier alternative, but when one's
    life is on the line, that's not the priority, staying
    alive is the priority!

    ~~~
    3) "DIABETES is a lifelong condition that causes
    a person's blood sugar level to become too high."
    Correction:
    See '1' for details on 7 DHGCs, 7 disparate condi-
    tions, not ONE condition. Lifelong? Many articles
    have been written about ways to reverse the con-
    dition of Cellosis (old misleading name, type 2
    diabetes) in the first 10 years after diagnosis, as
    well as ways to prevent Cellosis when in the ...
    ... increased risk phase, the PreCellosis phase,
    which typically lasts many years before it can
    become Cellosis if preventive measures aren't
    taken.
    ~~~

    4) "... in the UK, around 90 percent of all adults
    with diabetes have type 2. Some people will also
    have pre-diabetes."

    Correction:

    Type 2 clarity = Cellosis, and no, they cannot "also
    have" PreCellosis as PreCellosis PRECEDES Cel-
    losis and does NOT coincide with Cellosis. Accur-
    ate estimates of the numbers with each of the 7
    DHGCs indicate Cellosis is present in about 95%
    of those with any DHGC.

    PreCellosis is much more widespread than Cello-
    sis or any of the other 6 DHGCs, far more having
    PreCellosis than have Cellosis.

    ~~~
    5) "... it may be a good idea to cut back on fruit
    juices, coffee drinks, and alcohol."
    Corrections:
    Fewer fruit juices, especially those sweetened with
    sugar, OK, but see the Corrections in '2' above for
    details regarding recommended responses to avoid
    or respond to rapidly falling glucose level, hypogly-
    cemia, & severe hypoglycemia.
    Coffee without sugar, most articles RECOMMEND
    it as a wise healthy choice. With sugar, see Correc-
    tions in '2' above. Alcohol, some articles promote
    its use in moderation but it can lower glucose lev-
    els so those prone to hypoglycemia should check
    their glucose level when drinking alcoholic bever-
    ages.
    Also, alcoholic beverages containing sugar are
    not advised unless one is in a low glucose situ-
    ation described in the Corrections in '2' above,
    & even so, due to the glucose lowering impact
    of alcohol juxtaposed against the glucose rais-
    ing impact of sugar, that type of beverage ...
    ... might only be of value if it was the only way
    to try to counter a hypoglycemia situation, but
    it would definitely be the least advisable way
    to deal with that.
    5) "You can help manage type 2 diabetes through
    healthy eating, regular exercise and achieving a
    healthy body weight."
    Corrections:
    Those are well-advised, but most Cellosis (new
    clarifying name for type 2 diabetes) individuals
    also need medication, and most are unable to
    lose enough weight or maintain weight loss.
    The overwhelming majority of Cellosis entails
    using oral medication, a minority entails using
    various injected medications, only about 5%
    entails using exogenous insulin, & many Cel-
    losis individuals who use exogenous insulin
    can stop using it if enough weight loss &/or
    exercise transpires.
    6) Incredibly, the article uses the diabetes word
    without clarifier 12 times but almost the entire
    article is about Cellosis & PreCellosis, a perfect
    example of why the new superior clarifying terms
    detailed in the following sig are desperately nee-
    ded to end diabetes confusion / misinformation.
    7) Incredibly, the article IGNORES hypoglycemia,
    it's not mentioned once, the article acting as if
    hyperglycemia is the ONLY concern when actu-
    ally, hypoglycemia is a primary concern of those
    using any hypoglycemia-causing medication.
    Disparate High Glucose Conditions,
    DHGCs, 7 disparate categories of
    unpreventability / nonreversibility
    of all-but-one of the specific types
    of DHGCs (thus far, research actively
    trying to change that):
    o 15 specific types of rapid-onset Insul-
    initis (Islit), unpreventable & nonrevers-
    ible (thus far), the overwhelming majority
    with Islit have Insulitis Islit (sometimes
    called type 1 diabetes, often confusingly
    called diabetes with no clarifier) https://prohuman.net/pix2/new_superior_clarifying_name_is_INSULINITIS.jpg
    14 specific types of Islit are not caused
    by Insulitis, present in a small minority
    of those with Islit.
    o 1 specific type of slow-onset Islit, Latent
    Autoimmune Islit, also unpreventable &
    nonreversible (thus far) (sometimes called
    latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, often
    confusingly called diabetes with no clarifier)
    o Preventable Cellosis is the only specific
    type of DHGC that is preventable & revers-
    ible (in many, sometimes it's called type 2
    diabetes, often confusingly called diabetes
    with no clarifier)
    Risk for Preventable Cellosis, Hypertension,
    & Cardiovascular Disease increases as one's
    weight increases but BMI risk increases at
    lower BMI levels in non-white individuals: https://prohuman.net/pix2/BMI-WaistCircumference-Cellosis&Hypertension&CardiovascularDisease-Risk.jpg
    https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-05-bmi-offs-obesity-diabetes-non-white.html
    PreCellosis (often confusingly called pre-
    diabetes with no clarifier) is the oft-times
    preventable & reversible Cellosis precondi-
    tion that all-too-often the overwhelming ma-
    jority having it are unaware they have it
    o 20 specific types of Cellosis, unpreven-
    table & nonreversible (thus far, sometimes
    called type 2 diabetes, all-too-often con-
    fusingly called diabetes with no clarifier)
    o 1 specific type of DHGC only occurring
    in the late stage of impregnation in women,
    a type that's transient but that increases
    risk of later getting Cellosis, that ...
    ... condition called Gestational Cellosis
    (sometimes called gestational diabetes,
    sometimes confusingly called diabetes with
    no clarifier).
    o 11 specific types of Diminosis (new name
    created in 2010 for a monogenic condition
    age 6 months that sometimes is called
    maturity onset diabetes of the young, some-
    times confusingly called diabetes with no
    clarifier), unpreventable & non-reversible
    (thus far).
    o 12 specific types of Neonatal Diminosis
    (new name created in 2010 for a monogenic
    condition at age < or = 6 months that some-
    times is called neonatal diabetes, sometimes
    confusingly called diabetes with no ...
    ... clarifier), 8 types are permanent & unpre-
    ventable & nonreversible (thus far); 4 specific
    types are transient but can recur.
    o 25 specific types of Ohiglucons (new name
    created in 2010 for other diabetes mellitus,
    but often confusingly called diabetes with
    no clarifier).
    23 specific types are totally unpreventable.
    Hemochromatosis Ohiglucon, is only preventa-
    ble if Hemochromatosis is found and treated
    before it damages the pancreas.
    Immunosuppressants Ohiglucon, caused after
    a transplant with the required use of immun-
    osuppressants, 50% is temporary, but if it
    persists for over a year, most likely the condi-
    tion is permanent.
    If endogenous insulin production is near-totally
    to totally lost & does not recover after immuno-
    suppressants dosages reduced, it causes Im-
    munosuppressants Islit.
    - - -
    A mostly Non-Glucose Anomaly, Insipidus, it's
    also unpreventable & nonreversible (thus far):
    o 6 specific types of Insipidus (new name
    created in 2010 for diabetes insipidus, some-
    times confusingly called diabetes with no clar-
    ifier), 4 specific types don't include high glucose
    & are unpreventable & nonreversible (thus far),
    2 specific rare types do include high glucose &
    are unpreventable & nonreversible (thus far).
    - - -
    The following condition is apart from the
    diabetes confusion problem, but has confu-
    sion issues of its own.
    A Low Glucose Condition, Hut:
    o The 21 specific types of Hut (new name
    created in 2010 for Hypoglycemia Uncaused
    by Treatments for High Glucose, often con-
    fusingly called reactive hypoglycemia, con-
    fusing in that it does not occur as a reac-
    tion to treatment for High Glucose; one ...
    ... form sometimes called hyperinsulinism),
    some specific types are preventable & rever-
    sible, some aren't (thus far).
