Follow-up: The source article which had a bit more
detail, it linked to the actual source article with quite
a few more details. The date of the study was

    21 October 2012 to 21 October 2013

& 71 people were in the study. Since that was long
before Covid-19, the study did not have anything to
do with Covid-19. The preponderance of the so-
called data was based on answers to 2 question-
aires, so it doesn't appear that any of the answers
were checked or validated in any way. https://www.mdpi.com/1660-4601/18/12/6602/htm#B11-ijerph-18-06602

Put another way, anyone can say anything, but it
takes skeptical research to get to the truth of the
matter when people give answers to questions.

    Social isolation, highly recommended as
a defense against Covid-19, along with vac-
    cinations & wearing facemasks.

Physical activity levels were moderate or
high for 71.8%. Definition of those terms?
Not present (see link to source article below
for a clue about how those determinations
were made, a clue that most have no idea
    what they're referring to).

My dad just turned 90, rarely exercised &
is currently ample weight, has had 2 heart
stents, the first after his wife (my mother)
died of pneumonia, heart attack, & he has
fought off cancer for many years now. He
was walking for exercise for awhile but I
don't think he does that anymore.

He's had heart issues over the past year,
2 hospitalizations along with major weak-
ness & lack of appetite, but his appetite is
back 'cause his weight is probably in the
    ample area.

Almost 66.7% "said" they stuck to what
    they considered a traditional Mediterran-
ean diet. I don't know what that is, but do
know that claims made for it are similar
to claims made for any diet, rarely scien-
    tifically demonstrated.

The article mentioned "not having much
money and having a few heart problems
    from hypertension, diabetes and smoking."
No details provided about any of that. Not
one iota of information about anyone hav-
ing Islit (Insulinitis, near-total to total loss ...

... of endogenous insulin) & even though
it's rarely reported, some with Islit do live
    past 90.

The source article mentioned "low rates
of depression, high muscle strength, and
    good functional abilities." Unclear what
those assessments are based on. https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/1501950/how-to-live-longer-family-solidarity-social-interaction-physical-activity-longevity

That article calls all of the above a "major
finding". I find the data / article vacuous &
a total failure to associate any of the percen-
tages with actually having anything whatso-
ever to do with those folks living past 90.
