ing more time might be needed if you get the
    Moderna shot.

For reasons unknown, the 7-day trend of new
cases in the U.S. is following a pattern unlike
those seen elsewhere. In India, for example,
after new cases peaked, they commenced a
steady decline. In the U.S., however, after ...

... an initial one week decline, new cases in-
creased again but have declined in the past
    6 days, now at 121,290.

Boosters? The U.S. still hasn't decided when
those will commence, or how many months
have to pass before a fully vaccinated indi-
vidual will be able to get a booster shot.

    Moderna recently announced they're working
on a booster that also includes a flu vaccina-
tion. Hmmm, since I'm 65, I'm supposed to
get a flu vaccination that's "souped up", either
    the Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine
    of the FLUAD Quadrivalent vaccine.

It's recommended that individuals with Islit
be vaccinated in September, so I'm unsure
if I should go ahead & get a flu vaccination
or if the Moderna booster shot will include
a version that's "souped up", or if it would
be OK for me to get both a flu vaccination ....

... that's "souped up" -and- a Moderna boos-
ter shot that includes whatever flu vaccina-
tion that's included with that. Oh well, I'll pro-
bably go ahead & get the "souped up" flu vac-
cination & hope that whenever booster vaccin-
ations are approved, my having already ...

... gotten a "souped up" flu vaccination won't
result in my being unable to get whatever
Moderna comes up with as their booster vac-
cination for Covid-19 + the annual flu vaccin-
    ation.

Boosters? The U.S. still hasn't decided when
those will commence, or how many months
have to pass before a fully vaccinated indi-
vidual will be able to get a booster shot.

    Moderna recently announced they're working
on a booster that also includes a flu vaccina-
tion. Hmmm, since I'm 65, I'm supposed to
get a flu vaccination that's "souped up", either
    the Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine
    of the FLUAD Quadrivalent vaccine.

Got my FLUAD High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine
today. My 2nd pneumonia vaccination, required
after my 1st pneumonia vaccination occurred
November 10 2020, will be done after Novem-
    ber 10 2021.

Last year I got -2- Shingles vaccinations in addi-
tion to the High dose Flu vaccination & the 1st
    of 2 pneumonia vaccinations.

It's recommended that individuals with Islit
be vaccinated in September, so I'm unsure
if I should go ahead & get a flu vaccination
or if the Moderna booster shot will include
a version that's "souped up", or if it would
be OK for me to get both a flu vaccination ....

... that's "souped up" -and- a Moderna boos-
ter shot that includes whatever flu vaccina-
tion that's included with that. Oh well, I'll pro-
bably go ahead & get the "souped up" flu vac-
cination & hope that whenever booster vaccin-
ations are approved, my having already ...

... gotten a "souped up" flu vaccination won't
result in my being unable to get whatever
Moderna comes up with as their booster vac-
cination for Covid-19 + the annual flu vaccin-

The nature of the Covid-19 delta variant
impact has been up and down at times
since the Johns Hopkins report that the
7-day Average of New Cases in the U.S.
was at 187,602 as documented in the
1st post in this thread on September 3
    2021.

Today, it appears the decline has lasted
several days, & right now the 7-day Aver-
age of New Cases in the U.S. is 97,978. https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-cases

I hesitate to accept this as a continuing
trend due to the fact that there have been
decreases followed by increases over the
    past month.

FDA panel recommends 3rd Pfizer COVID-19
booster shot -6- months after full vaccination
for people aged 65 and older & those at high
    risk* of severe COVID-19 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2021/09/17/fda-panel-pfizer-covid-19-boosters-americans-over-65/8367055002/

    ...

*Those at high risk includes health care workers,
first responders & people likely to be exposed to
the virus at work, committee members said.

... The committee doesn't make the decision for the
FDA, but the FDA almost always takes its recom-
mendations to heart. A final decision by the agency
is expected over the next few days. If FDA agrees
with the recommendation, the booster shot will come
    under an emergency use authorization.
