Liberal Democrats, too lazy and stupid to compete
scholastically. This is the result of the present day inferior
California school system, once the envy of the entire free
world, after 40 years of Democrat control and parasitic
    socialist union infestation.

A leading New York lawyer was “placed on a leave of absence”
over his arrest in the college-admissions cheating scandal, his
    firm said Wednesday.

In a statement, the white-shoe firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher
cited the “widely reported” charges against co-chairman Gordon
    Caplan, 52.

“In light of the seriousness of the matter, Mr. Caplan has been
placed on a leave of absence from the Firm and will have no
further Firm management responsibilities,” the statement said.

The public relations company that released the statement
wouldn’t say if Caplan, who graduated from Cornell University
and Fordham Law School, would continue to be paid while on leave.

The Greenwich, Conn., resident is accused of paying $75,000 to
illegally boost his daughter’s score on an ACT exam she took on
    December 8, 2018.

Court papers say Caplan was repeatedly caught on wiretaps
plotting with William “Rick” Singer, who has admitted
masterminding the scam in which an accomplice allegedly
corrected wrong answers after the girl turned in her test.

During one conversation, Caplan allegedly said that paying for
the crooked service was “not an issue.”

“It’s just, to be honest, I’m not worried about the moral issue
here. I’m worried about the, if she’s caught doing that, you
know, she’s finished,” he said, according to court papers.

Caplan also allegedly told Singer: “I mean, this comes out— I— I
don’t even want to know what you guys do.”

Caplan and his lawyer declined to comment following a Tuesday
hearing in Manhattan federal court, where he was released on
$500,000 bond pending a March 29 court appearance in Boston.
