Liberal Democrats, too lazy and stupid to compete
scholastically. This is the result of the present day inferior
California school system, once the envy of the entire free
world, after 40 years of Democrat control and parasitic
    socialist union infestation.

One of the parents arrested for allegedly bribing his kids’ way
into top colleges in a nationwide admissions scam resigned as
chairman and CEO of his own finance company Wednesday, according
    to new reports.

Manuel Henriquez, the founder and now-ex-chief of California-
based Hercules Capital, “voluntarily stepped aside” a day after
he and his wife, Elizabeth, appeared in court on charges of
conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud,
    according to Forbes.

The company’s shares plummeted as much as 10 percent when the
scandal broke Tuesday, and closed down 8.9 percent, Bloomberg
    reports.

Henriquez will “continue as a member of the board and as an
adviser to the company,” the company said.

The parents are accused of paying more than $400,000 to college
admissions mastermind William “Rick” Singer to help their two
daughters cheat on their admissions exams — as well as to bribe
Georgetown’s then-head tennis coach to have their elder daughter
    named as an athletic recruit.

After Singer arranged for a corrupt proctor to sit “side-by-
side” with the older child during her SATs and feed her the
answers, the proctor, Elizabeth and the daughter allegedly
“gloated” about “the fact that they had cheated and gotten away
    with it.”

Manuel Henriquez, an alumnus of Northeastern University and a
former member of one of its governing bodies, actually got a
discount on Singer’s services because he allegedly agreed to use
his clout at the Boston college to help get another applicant
admitted to that school, according to the criminal complaint.

He emailed a senior development officer at Northeastern,
describing the kid as an “excellent candidate for the College of
Social Sciences and Humanities,” then repeatedly followed up
with officials about his admission, prosecutors allege.

The boy was accepted to the school, and his parents then
    allegedly paid Singer $250,000.

The Henriquezes turned themselves in to authorities Tuesday and
were each released on $500,000 bond.

Both parents looked stunned as they appeared in court, with
Henriquez shaking his head and looking at the floor as the judge
explained the charges against them, according to Bloomberg.
