possible, if not preferable.
I'm nowhere in the picture about chickens and eggs, but can see the attraction in raising chickens in a rural lifestyle, that chickens are interesting and likeable, eggs are tasty and so are chicken parts, and selling eggs is a frugal-living possibility.
With high prices and limited supplies these days, raising your own chickens is possible, IMO.
Not sure if raising chickens in towns or cities is a viable option, although I bet it's being done, probably without noisy roosters.
