I got whole life insurance with Metlife when I was 16. My premiums are
about $550 a year. I spoke to Metlife recently and they said my last
year of payments will be the year 2008. So I will have put in almost
$10,000 into this policy. The face value of my policy is $100,000 and
if I live til 60 or 65, the cash value is like 40 or 40-something
thousand dollars.
I'm wondering, should I just cancel this life insurance and invest
elsewhere? I don't know much about life insurance and I sure would
appreciate anyone's advice.
Thank you,
Wendy
