I just found out that you don't need a special apps to scan a bar code. Searched in Google Store for QR and barcode scanner, located a recommended one for my Android 10, but then read at Tom's that the apps already in your camera probably can scan a bar
code.
You supposedly can focus camera on bar code, then wait until the camera deciphers it and gives a link to pursue. May be a link in your apps for doing this. Also warning that just doing this on any old bar code could be a problem, because hackers can
simply put their bar codes up anywhere.
Going to look into this, as shopping by bar codes seems to be the coming thing.
