[rant] Outlook search fails

WHY Outlook search fails?
There are around 200,000,000 pages on google about this topic, "solutions"
are always the same, but unfortunately don't work
scanpst
sfc /scannow
delete and rebuild index
repair office installation
remove and reinstall office
oga & bigoga
and so on
typical errors:
- start search from any folder, take a message, search related mails: shows
all of them EXCLUDED the original one (maybe this is by design? is it a bug
or a feature?)
- start search from Inbox, take a message, search related mails, doesn't
find any, even if there are 2-3-more just below the a.m.
- search by Subject containing quotes fails (do they conflict with
mandatory quotes around the searched text?)
- search seems to work but you know there are well more results (not
millions, let say 10 out of 20 are missing)
...and YES, search parameters have been checked several times, folder, extensions, etc
Is there any possibility to disconnect Outlook search from Windows search
like it was in the past?
Is there any tool I can try to finally get all the results I need?
Consider that OST/PST files are around 50 Gbytes size
