• Bug#877571: xserver-xorg-core: lockup on exiting another virtual termin

From Matthew Harm Bekkema@21:1/5 to All on Tue Oct 3 03:20:01 2017
    XPost: linux.debian.bugs.dist

    Package: xserver-xorg-core
    Version: 2:1.19.2-1+deb9u1
    Severity: important

    Dear Maintainer,

Xorg locks up and runs at 100% CPU usage (on one core) after exiting a virtual terminal. Here are the steps to reproduce:

    1. Run `startx`
    2. Switch to another virtual terminal (using CTRL+ALT+F2 or similar)
    3. Log in to the virtual terminal
    4. Run `exit`
    5. You will now be back in X11, but mouse and keyboard wont work

I've trimmed the included log below because it repeats the same line ~254000 times before I killed Xorg over ssh.
