    That we don't know how large N is.
    We can safely assume that the N recievers are in different time zones
    and that their time is as valuable as our time is.

    Agreed.

    So:
    * Make it possible that emails can be skipped (huge time saver)
    * Have Subject: lines that do match message body

    I note you favour new threads with better subjects :-)

    * Provide context, don't not delete too much

    I've always been in favour of inline replies, but understood.

    * Choose good messages above many messages
