    I intend to orphan the docbook-xsl-saxon package as announed here [1] and here [2]:

    There is not much upstream activity around this package (if any) and there are no open bug reports. It requires little attention and is intended for Saxon up to version 6.5. It is AFAIK not widely used but required for building docbook-defguide.


    The package description is: Java extensions for use with DocBook XML stylesheets (Saxon)
    These are Java extensions for use with the DocBook XML stylesheets
    and the Saxon XSLT engine. You need these extensions to enable e.g.
    the callouts and linenumbering extensions of the docbook-xsl suite.

    In the past these extensions were shipped with the docbook-xsl tarball
    distribution directly.
