  • How to fix pipeline failures for crossbuild on salsa?

    Hello,

    some pipelines are failing the test-crossbuild-arm64 step apparently
    because gcc can't be installed.
    How can we fix that?

    This happened a few minutes ago:
    428 The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    429 crossbuild-essential-arm64 : Depends: gcc-aarch64-linux-gnu (>=
    4:10.2) but it is not going to be installed or
    430 gcc:arm64
    431 Depends: g++-aarch64-linux-gnu (>= 4:10.2) but it is not installable or
    432 g++:arm64 https://salsa.debian.org/debian-hamradio-team/twclock/-/jobs/3103648

    This happened a few days ago:
    428 The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    429 crossbuild-essential-arm64 : Depends: gcc-aarch64-linux-gnu (>=

    430 gcc:arm64
    431 Depends: g++-aarch64-linux-gnu (>= 4:10.2) but it is not installable or

    Another pipeline has failed due to another package; I don't know if
    this is related:
    368 The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    369 libc6-dev:arm64 : Depends: linux-libc-dev:arm64 but it is not
    going to be installed https://salsa.debian.org/debian-hamradio-team/ax25mail-utils/-/jobs/2566925

    Hi Daniele,

    that's well outside the scope of the hams group, so I'd just ignore
    the problem; the crossbuild people will eventually pick it up. (Helmut
    just returned from post-Debconf vacation, but his desktop broke, so it
    might take a bit.)

    The crossbuild job is configured anyway such that failures aren't
    fatal to the whole pipeline result.
