The next release of emacsql will not support it, and will make it obsolete,
a point of view the upstream maintainers of emacsql-sqlite3 themselves seem to accept : https://github.com/cireu/emacsql-sqlite3/issues/38.

It was removed from MELPA last April for this reason.
