The left part of the Compose screen is garbled (the sidebar is
superimposed upon the Compose screen). Pressing ^L does not solve the
issue. On has to:

:set sidebar_visible

and then after exiting the Compose screen (sending the message or
aborting it or postponing it), again a second time

:set sidebar_visible
