XPost: linux.debian.ports.s390, linux.debian.ports.sparc, linux.debian.ports.powerpc

In the latest upload I enabled the test suite, and one of them fails:

The upstream maintainer identified how and where it fails, but does not
know how to fix it:

Can somebody with portability experience help us?
