    I've created https://salsa.debian.org/l10n-team/ddtp/-/issues/9 to track the locale creation.

    I've never done this before, so I'm not sure of the exact procedure, but
    it shouldn't be that complicated (famous last words).

    Please let me know if I can help with the copy.
    Maybe when a pt_AO contributor fetches a new translation, the pt_BR translation could also be provided to be more easily copied and adapted.

    like in weblate? when I translate to pt_BR the debian-handbook, I can
    config weblate
    to show me the already translated string in spanish.

    that would be nice. but I will not ask for this now. let´s try manually first.

    Actually, this setting is global (there is no per-team status), so I can leave you global admin anyway for your work in the pt_BR team.
