• DecSystem 5000 support

From Stefano Bettega@21:1/5 to All on Mon Nov 26 14:30:02 2018
Hello, I have a DecSystem 5000/240 which is running an old RedHat 7.1 port, precompiled by someone.
I would like to know if Debian support is still available for this hardware, as stated in

    https://www.debian.org/releases//sarge/mipsel/ch02s01.html.en

as I know that 32 bit support is being removed or already removed from Linux in general.

    Thanks in advance and regards

With some search, DecSystem 5000/240 seems with a R3000 CPU, which is MIPS I. So that, the answer is no.

For mips32el/eb, we only support mips32r2 above.
For mips64el, we only support mips64r2 and above.

    Thanks in advance and regards
