• nvidia driver non riconosce nuovo monitor

    ho cambiato il monitor del mio computer

    ho un problema in quanto i driver nvidia non rilevano il monitor nuovo

    versione s.o.: debian
    cat /etc/debian_version 11.7
    (si lo so che non è aggiornata all'ultima versione ma mi va bene cosi)

    versione driver nvidia:
    apt install nvidia-detect
    che mi dice di installare
    apt install nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver

    attualmente utilizzo i driver:
    lsmod | grep no
    nouveau 2371584 27

    il monitor nuovo è un Philips 241V8LA
    collegato tramite un cavo HDMI al pc con un adattatore HDMI <-> DVI

    che funzionano correttamente ma vorrei utilizzare i driver nvidia

    Il monito non credo centri con i noveau, penso sia un problema di
    frequenza di "refresh" supportato dal monitor rispetto alla scheda
    video, controlla la risoluzione del monitor che frequenza supporta e se
    questa coincide con quanto proposto dalla scheda video, a mio avviso
    credo il problema sia questo.

    Se hai in uso i nouveau non stai usando i driver nvidia. Controlla se hai correttamente installato gli nvidia e metti in blacklist i nouveau.

    attualmente sto utilizzando i driver nouveau in quanto dopo aver
    installato i driver nvidia il monitor non viene più riconosciuto

    come installo i driver nvidia:
    apt install nvidia-detect

    che mi dice di installare
    apt install nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver

    e per la configurazione iniziale installo anche:
    apt install nvidia-xconfig

    se avete ulteriori informazioni che devo darvi per risolvere il problema
    sarò lieto di fornirvi ulteriori informazioni

    avevo già eseguito:

    apt remove --purge nvidia-*
    rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    ok fino a questo punto

    riavvio il pc il monitor comincia a funzionare con i driver nouveaux

    provo ad installare solo il pacchetto:
    apt install nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver

    ma non crea nessun file
    /etc/X11/xorg.con

    c'e' un modo di passare da driver nouveaux a nvidia senza dover
    installarli e disinstallarli in quanto ogni volta che provo
    attualmente effettuo questo ?

    allegare dei file ad una a una lista quale
    debian-italian@lists.debian.org (o è possibile) ?

    se posso mandarti una email preferisci un tar.gz o singoli file di
    testo allegati ?

    caso chiuso avevi ragione la doppia architettura non so perchè
    installava i driver nvidia ma non funzionavano

    rimosso tutti i pacchetti i386 e riprovato funziona
