• Disabling/enabling touch pad on keyboard

From Erwan David@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jan 20 21:20:02 2022
    Hi,

I use debian testing. Sometime, by walking on the keyboard my cat
disables the touchpad of my Lenovo T590. I used to be able to get it
back by disabling and reenabling it in the system settings (or with the
systrau "touchpad" icon), but it does not do anything anymore .

Do someone have a solution to reenabe it without logging out ?

    Thanks

I have a setting that disables the touchpad when a mouse is connected.
Maybe this setting is on for you, and maybe, for some reason, your
system decided that the Lenovo red controller (not sure what it's
called) is a mouse, so that's where I'd look.

Far fetched, but since there appear to be no better ideas...

    HTH,
    Shai.
