• Shouldn't packages maintained by DPT be found in salsa.d.o/python-team

    From Andreas Tille@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jan 18 16:40:01 2023
    Hi,

    when looking at bug #1026525 I intended to checkout mitmproxy
    and realised

    $ apt showsrc mitmproxy | grep -e ^Vcs -e ^Maintainer 2>/dev/null
    Maintainer: Debian Python Team <team+python@tracker.debian.org>
    Vcs-Browser: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mitmproxy
    Vcs-Git: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mitmproxy.git

    I would have expected that the package can be found under

    https://salsa.debian.org/python-team

    Am I missing something?

    Sebastien / Andrej are you aware of this bug which blocks a couple
    of Python modules (python-uvicorn, python-scrapy)

    Kind regards
    Andreas.

    Yes, it was where the package lived before I added DPT into the maintainer list.

    Yes, but I didn’t bother moving as the debian group allows more people to contribute, but feel free to move it if you think it’s worth it.

    Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ve heard about it until now, thanks for prodding me. I don’t have time to look right now, so feel free to fix it if you have time.

    Thanks!

    thanks, i was about to do the same (due to the implication to uvicorn
    and the rest of the async packages depending on it)

    and realised

    $ apt showsrc mitmproxy | grep -e ^Vcs -e ^Maintainer 2>/dev/null

    nope, this is a mistake that needs to be fixed if the package is to
    stay in the team, ie move it to the dpt project in salsa.

    looks like Seb no longer wishes to work on this package tho: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mitmproxy/-/commit/350c5a0d304c1c88c531c7b734eb6cd18e77cd00

    Hi,

    I removed myself from the mitmproxy uploaders in 2021, and I
    unfortunately have no time to look into #1026525 at the moment.

    Cheers,
