• Where to find this old software mentioned in the faq?

    Hi guys,

Is there by chance anybody aware of where I can download the software mentioned here:

    http://www.faqs.org/faqs/x-faq/part6/section-7.html

In the second paragraph? I was called marx, and apparently was an interpreted programming language with c-like syntax that could be used to play with xlib, and the OS in general.

Would be nice to have a look at it, but I've been looking for a bit more than an hour already and seems like completely extinct.

    Thanks,

I did a little hunting myself for it, but it is made difficult by the
name being a common one and the source server being an obscure one.

That said: you can find the project pages (but not the source) on the
    Wayback Machine:

    https://web.archive.org/web/19990221204637/http://spock.ece.drexel.edu/marx/

Then searching the author's name plus Drexel you can find a linkedin
    profile for Xiaoxun Zhu:

    https://www.linkedin.com/in/xiaoxunzhu

You might be able to get a copy asking him. (Or maybe not, he might be
too busy to dig it up.) But people who have worked a long time on
something for fun are prone to appreciating someone else taking an
interest, so I'd say you have a chance.
