• "ddxSigGiveUp: Closing log" killing my session

    From Charles T. Smith@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jan 22 11:15:18 2016
I occassionally hit some keystroke that causes my X session to terminate, gracelessly. I see in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old the following last line:

    ddxSigGiveUp: Closing log

Presumably that has something to do with it. Other than that, I haven't
a clue what happened. I've tried to reproduce the keystroke, but I can't.
It generally happens in an intense debugging session when I have lots of windows open and I'm switching from one to the other.

One possibility is that there's a key mapped to some reset function,
but I can't find it. Does anybody have an idea what it might be?

I should have added: If you can't remember a keystroke,
that may not be relevant. You were simply keyboarding,
    when something else happened.
