The point I sought to make is "outing"
    trolls does *NO* good

By the way, what's your opinion of
message 358449 by Panglozz, which asked
if "Deep does Tuba?", and then gave a
    quote that google uniquely associates
    with tubist Andrew Theis? (Somewhat
reminiscent of how the info in 302370
    and 302332 was google-associated with
    the name John Chesnut.)

My opinion is that since Deep did not flinch, the test was a failure.

A later test by another nym using unicode was a resounding success.

Testing subjects for responses is a legitimate exercise in the behavoiral sciences. Ethical disclosure would require informed consent, but gathering disclosures from incorporal "nym"s is another matter I suppose.

I would like to add I wrote the purported subject email twice before posting. Did not bounce and did not reply. I left the SCOX message deliberately obscure for reasons I thought should be obvious. I followed the test with more refined research, which I
have characterized with as much specificity as is appropriate.

For those that worry about such things panglozz==stats when and only when stats want to say something that he worries his "rec-utation" will provide too much attention to or support for. This is stats way of navigating the ethically challenged landscape
    of message boards.

Panglozz says deliberately stupid things to avoid have a rec count that might draw attention to himself. Panglozz has felt the wrath of Al's ire before.

Death to all sock puppets! Long live Nym free life!
