• New UNIX and Lynx sites for us geeks

From Mitchell Johnston@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jul 15 08:27:22 2019
I setup a UNIX dedication page off of my main website:

    http://crn.hopto.org/unix

I also created a "start page" for text based browsers:

    http://crn.hopto.org/lynx

I hope you folks will enjoy it.

Good on tech, but the theology part is the most anti-scientific crap
I've ever read. Instead of the Bible, and the rest of Eastern
bullcrap with no knowledge of modern science and discoveries,
read about the Gilgamesh myth, you'll understand the Bible as
just a copycat wannane book from older tales in order to convince
the tribes around Jews/Semites to join their tribe/religion.
Well, that and that Christianism stole a lot from the Greek
philosophers since the Middle Ages in order to fit better
to the kingdoms of the ex-Roman Empire.
And from native European pagan rites, too.
    Peoples such as Celts, Iberians...

To me it's just a type of proto-nationalism a la French, with ideas
as the core instead of the physical traits.

A true Geek would discard any religion as superstition and myth,
with the only usefulness being as a good antropology indicator
    on what ancient tribes tought.

Your thinking core should be Euclid and Archimedes. Next, Newton, Leibniz, Descartes, Carl Sagan and pretty much everyone who puts *facts*
first before feelings. That' it, Science, and not everything which
tries to calm you on whatever brainwashed your brain since you
were a kid in order to scare or adoctrinate down you.

And OFC throw these books on flat earth to the trash, that's ridiculous. *Basic* Greek trig stated the right things down millenia ago.
Even the Chlerical Europe in Middle Ages knew that the Earth was a globe.
Yes, even Spain(s) with the Inquisition. We were not *that dumb.
From an European perspecive, the basic American mindset against
science and Elementary School facts looks
illiterate and shameful. Don't be like the old charlatans
    and embrace the proper Science.
You had and have critical thinkerers like Sagan, Stallman, Knuth.
    So, there's hope.

    Best wishes.
