Hi Guys,
I have an IBM Power 8 Server (s822) that I wanted to install PowerKVM onto.
When I changed the firmware type from "PowerVM" to "Opal" to start the installation, we then hit this problem.
I cannot power on the server, I get the error "Could not process the request". I cannot change the firmware back to PowerVM, it tells me the server must be off. However I cannot power the server off, it tells me the server must be on?. So it is neither off nor on?
I checked the logs and see it is throwing up "B1813463" (An unsupported level of system firmware has been detected).
I have tried to upgrade the firmware as per IBM's documentation - "
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/8284-22A/p8ha5/fix_firm_usb.htm"
However this does not seem to work, nothing happens when the USB is inserted.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to restore this system to a functional state? Any advice is welcome and appreciated.
Kind Regards, James
