• Suspend/resume problem

From tim1948@21:1/5 to All on Fri Dec 18 09:36:54 2020
I have a fresh installation of 12.2 on a system with a Skylake processor, ASUS TUF X299 Mark 2 mobo, and an Nvidia GTX 970 GPU. The GPU driver supports ACPI.
After about 20 minutes, there is a message that the system is about to suspend. This is not done properly, and the system does not resume. (So the ACPI feature is worse than useless, and a temporary solution might be software that generates a fake mouse
click every once in a while. Usually the computer is not left idle for more than 20 minutes, but it occasionally happens.)
I get the impression that this is a problem that's not easy to address, but any advice would be appreciated.

Two thoughts, but no guarantees ...

    1) Perhaps disable ACPI in the BIOS.

    2) Perhaps you can change the inactivity timeout from 20 minutes to
    something larger.
