• Does ldmconfig do anything reasonable?

From OrangeFish9737@21:1/5 to All on Fri Aug 25 13:09:55 2023
I have installed LDOM 1.3 on my T2000 running Solaris 11.3 but I have
yet to configure it. The manuals point to using ldmconfig, claiming it
sets up a configuration using "best practices".

ldmconfig is a 1.8k-line script that must be run as root. (I tried a
local non-root run but too many root queries are run.)

Should I trust it? (The only comment I found was on the Tribblix
website, where Tribble does not recommend running it.)

(This same question was also posted to a few mailing lists without
    response.)
