• PuTTY - Log Location - Using Variables, Relative Path, etc

    Hello,

I'm looking to be able to configure a variable location in the PuTTY Log Location.

The goal is to be able to create a PuTTY reg file / settings that could be applied to users and dynamically use a location that would apply to them and that they would have permissions on, such as their user folder or something along those lines.

After some Googling I came across this https://superuser.com/questions/1130163/putty-log-to-relative-path which I tried to see where it would get me, but I had no dice even using the method they suggested for this.

Is there any way to achieve this or is this a lost cause? Is there any interest from other users in being able to specify Windows variables in the Logging path if this is not possible, maybe it can be submitted as a feature request? Or maybe there are
repercussions to this I am not aware of.

    Thank you for your time!
