I picked up one of these recently. It's actually a very nice terminal. Only problem I have is, I am not able to save config changes through a power cycle.
I haven't opened it up yet but I'm wondering what the chances are that it's just a battery? I don't think batteries were common on VDT's but not sure about this one.

I don't know the terminal, but knowing the manufacturer and the era, nine will get you ten that it's got a NiCD on the board, and likely it's bad,
and I would urge you to get it out before it leaks.

I'm wondering how to find someone local who might replace it for me. So
far nobody willing.
Thanks for the tip...I opened it up and you were right. It has a coin cell=
battery. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to remove it, though. It looks lik=

That's newer than I'd thought, then. That's a lithium battery. You can desolder it and install a removable battery clip so that you can replace
them more easily in the future.

Where are you? Is there a ham radio club in your area?
