What You Need
To generate a FSC code, you will need the following items:

Step by Step Guide
Here are the steps to generate a FSC code by yourself:


Download BMW E-Sys and BMW FSC Generator, extract them to Local C: Disk.
Use the ENET cable to connect your car with your laptop, then open E-Sys software.
Enter “Expert Mode” in the menu on the left of the screen.
Click “FSC-Extended” and input “0x63” in Diagnostic Address blank.
Click the “Identify” button and confirm HU_NBT.
Enter “0xDE” in Application Number blank and “0x1” in Upgrade Index blank.
Click “Store FSC” then click the “>>” button to confirm that StoreFSC is created on the right side.
Click the “Read” button then click “Save” button to save as DE.fsc file name.
Copy the DE.fsc file to C:\\FSCGen folder.
Press the Windows key + R button, enter CMD and run Command Prompt as administrator.
Type cd \\ and hit enter, then type cd FSCGen and hit enter again.
Type Nbt.exe de.fsc 0xA6 0x28 X123456 (X123456 is the last 7 digits of your car's VIN and must be in capital letters) and hit enter.
You should see a message saying "FSC Code Generated" and a file named X123456_000DE001.fsc in C:\\FSCGen folder. This is your FSC code!

How to Use the FSC Code
To use the FSC code, you need to download the map data for your region and copy it to a USB flash drive. You can get the map data from a dealer or from some online sources. Make sure you get the correct map version for your car and region.



Once you have the map data on your USB flash drive, follow these steps:


Insert the USB flash drive into your car's USB port.
Go to Navigation menu and select "Settings".
Select "Update map".
Select "USB" as source and confirm.
The system will ask you to enter your FSC code. Use the iDrive controller to input your 20-digit code and confirm.
The system will start updating your map data. This may take some time depending on the size of the data.
