  • ITUGLIB Update: OpenSSH 8.9 Available

    Hi Everyone,

    At long last, OpenSSH 8.9 is available on the ITUGLIB website at https://ituglib.connect-community.org/apps/Ituglib/SrchOpenSrcLib.xhtml. This release supports OpenSSL 3.0 and on L-series does not need PRNGD (Yay!) - it will use the NonStop x86 hardware
    randomizer that I wrote for OpenSSL 3.x. Builds are available for J06.22+ and L20.10+ for OpenSSL 1.0.2, 1.1.1, and 3.0.x. This is intended as a client-only port - at least, that is what the ITUGLIB team has tested. All unit tests pass.

    Also, side bonus: ssh-agent actually seems to work correctly with this release. So the whole user experience is a lot better.

    The code has not yet been merged into the common OpenSSH main branch, but I am working on making that happen. If you want the source, it is temporarily at GitHub at https://github.com/rsbeckerca/openssh-portable/tree/ituglib_release2 until the official
    merge occurs - I will post if/when that happens.

    NSGit recommends this release for SSH-based commit and tag signing with OpenSSL 3.0.
