• ITUGLIB Udate: OpenSSH 8.8p1 (Important News)

From Randall@21:1/5 to All on Thu Feb 17 16:47:20 2022
    Hi Everyone,

Some really great news here. I managed to port OpenSSH 8.8p1 to both J-series and L-series. This release is a major upgrade from the last port 7.6p1, and includes SSH key signing and advanced capabilities. It is compatible with OpenSSL 1.0.2 and 1.1.1
but not 3.0 (yet). README instructions are available on the ITUGLIB website.

We are hoping that after 8.9, the port will be successfully contributed and the code will be part of the main code base.

This port is intended for client-side only in OSS and does not replace NonStop SSH. Consider it nothing more than a back-up client, key-generation, and key signing tool. Note also that some forms of of the keys may not be compatible with NonStop SSH.

This release benefits all git and NSGit users by supporting commit and tag signing using SSH keys. It replaces the older GPG signing technique that have fallen out of favour in many situations.

Let us know if you find any issues with this release.
