    Hi!
Can anyone export from illustrator in .eps and open in mathtype? I'm having difficulties with this. If the file is saved as illustrator .eps, mathtype does not recognize it and does not open it, the message "the file does not contain equation data"
    appears

Wrong way around. It's the EPS file *from* MathType that can be opened
    in Illustrator.

There's no sensible reason why MathType should be able to open EPS files.
