I am trying to install the Symphony Jampack on my 2008 iMac running SnowLeopard and iLife 11. I get "installation fail" messages on two
different Jampacks (Symphony 1.0 & 1.0.1). How do I fix this?
Two other Jampacks have installed without problem.
However, depending on who old or new the software is it may be as simple
as "Snow Leopard is very old."
Published around the same time? Did the ones you are trying to install
come out before or after snow leopard? How much before or after? Does
the software list what versions of OS X it works with?
(I've never heard of Symphony Jampacks, so the versions numbers aren't helpful to me).

Symphony Jampacks are an Apple creation to go with Garageband.
Garageband runs from Classic to High Sierra.

Now that I've rooted around my drive and found evidence of ye olde
jampacks, I believe their content was absorbed into stock default
libraries for both Garageband and Logic Pro X. I have the latter and
found all the old jampackorch loops in the loops library.
I assume you are installing them through a music application. Which is that?

My GUESS, but it is only a guess, is that this software is too old to understand Snow Leopard.

But the Symphony "instruments" are not there. I believe there are a lot
of Symphony loops that are not part of the basic Garageband app.

They are installed with the installer and are files that Garageband uses
