Who cares about that outside of France?

Perhaps some users of this forum may be in France?  We're not all in the >>>>> USA, for sure.  Or is it illegal for us non-Americans to use this NG? >>>>
I'm not in the USA. I live in a neighbouring country to France. This is >>>> an *englishspeaking group* and not a US-Group.

    You missed the point completely.

Well, I don't think I did miss the point.  My point is that if you are
English speaking, then your posts are valid here whether you are in
France, Germany, UK, USA, or anywhere else and whether they are about
France, Germany, UK, USA or anywhere else.

I'm in the US. I didn't get *anything* with my iphone, except a usb
cable, and a paper clip type pin (to eject the sim module). If I were
in europe, I guess I would have gotten lots more shit in the box?

There are various local laws that Apple has to comply with. For example:

    - In France (as per the topic), Apple had to continue
including earphones / EarPods with the iPhone.

    - In Brazil, Apple still has to include a charger with
    the iPhone.

    - In China, Apple has to remove some apps from devices.

If Apple, and other manufacturers, do not compy with thes types of
local laws, then they are simply not allowed to sell their products
    there.

Most Apple iKooks don't even realize the basis of the Brazil laws.

Do any of you iKooks realize you get no warranty with _all_ the iPhones that
no longer come with the correct charger in the box?

    No?
    Really?

    Look it up.
Apple told Brazil they won't honor the warranty.

So Brazil told them if they can't honor the warranty for a damaged iPhone,
then they have to supply the proper components in the box.

If you use any charger other than the proper charger and if it damages the iPhone, then Apple told Brazil they will NOT honor the warranty.

Apple lied by the way about the charger - as Apple has _never_ in the entire history of the company ever shipped the correct iPhone 11 (and up) charger
    in _any_ iPhone box!

That's a fact nobody but an iKook would be so stupid as to dispute.
Apple has never shipped the iPhone 11 _correct_ charger with _any_ iPhone. Never.

And yet, Apple claims you already have the charger.
Not if you only buy iPhones you don't.

Point is Apple was forced in Brazil to say, on paper, whether they'd honor
the warranty and since Apple wouldn't agree to honor their own warranty,
Brazil made them ship the charger.

The bottom line is that you can't become a 3 trillion dollar

Apple's secret is only two big things, and one is stellar marketing.

    a. *Marketing* makes the lies
    b. *Marketing* decides what basic functionality to remove
    c. *Marketing* decides how to sell it all back to the customer

In this case of the missing airpods and basic charger
    a. The *gullible customer* believes it's "courageous" and "for the kids"
    b. The *gullible customer* buys back the missing sdcard, aux jack & charger
    c. Then that *gullible customer* crows about how huge Apple's profits are

Notice you need _two_ things for Apple's secret to work.
    1. Great marketing
    2. Gullible customers

It's a classic duet; they need each other.
