• PLASMA 2.0 Alpha 1

From David Schmenk@21:1/5 to All on Sat Jul 4 19:06:53 2020
PLASMA has been languishing enough. So I took advantage of the coronavacation to tidy some things up and post a release. Should be good enough for an alpha version. Between the TFTP network file transfer server, file utilities, improved editor, and
stable AOT compiler and JIT compiler, it make for a reasonable development platform. And the graphics libraries aren't too shabby, either.

Nice work! And do I recall correctly that the new game, Lawless Legends, is also written in PLASMA?

Thanks David - Yes, LL's game logic is written using the 1.x branch of PLASMA. Of course Martin wrote a ton of highly optimized assembly for the graphics and low level libraries. PLASMA 2.0 rearchitected the low level VM and added a Just In Time compiler
for the 6502 and 65816(ala Java), and added a lot of libraries of its own.

Thanks Mark (and thanks for the edits)! Going to miss our run at Fest this year.
