    Intel 8088 microprocessor was released in 1979. What device used the 8088 before 8088 was chosen for IBM PC 5150 in 1981 ?

    As I recall, *very* few chose the 8088 processor... because of the
    segmentation of memory and the cumbersomeness of that model of memory organization.
