  • Compatibility between HP-UX 11.23 and 11.31?

    We develop our software on HP-UX 11.23. Is it guaranteed that the
    software is able to run on HP-UX 11.31?

    I'm not in a position to say guaranteed, and it has been a very long
    time since I touched anything involving HP-UX, but so long as your
    software is not kernel-intrusive, yes, software compiled on 11.23
    should run on 11.31.

    Good software development practices would suggest testing your
    software on 11.31 as well though regardless.

    concerning application binary compatability between HP-UX versions.
