You whimpering crybaby Canucks hunkered down at home watching the
race today? 135,000 rabid American race fans are there in person.
That’s us, land of the free and home of the brave.

So on May 30, the 7-day average for number of cases per day in Indiana
was 504 and headed downward.
And today, that number is...
2,364.
Deaths per day (7-day average) were 9.
Today: 28
But "freedom" and "bravery", right?
So what? Why do you keep bringing this up?
Unless you are under 3 or over 80, Covid is nothing. It’s THE FLU. I
know people who have had it - in otherwise good health - and say “I have >> had hangovers that were worse than this”.
My 22 year old daughter had it. Nothing. My friend’s 20 year old
daughter had it. Nothing. Basically a bad cold.
Hundreds of thousands of people die worldwide from the flu every
year. So
what? An average of 35,000 people have died every year from auto
accidents in the U.S. alone since 1940. But no one is staying home
hiding
from cars, are they?
YES, land of the free. Not land of the pussies.
LMAO!!!
On Nextdoor that fiction would get you booted off.
Knew a halthy athletic 41 year olkd girl with no preexisting conditions.
Dead.
Keep watching Faux News for the finest Covid fiction.

So what? Why do you keep bringing this up?Because some people keep on trying to criticize others for their risk tolerance,
while not acknowledging the costs of choice.
Unless you are under 3 or over 80, Covid is nothing. It’s THE FLU.Pretty much every government in the world disagrees with you.

I lost track in 2020 of how many deaths there were in our extended network when it went into double digits; think the count's now just over twenty. Most
of these were in the first wave, but I did lose my one manager this past July
to Delta.
But there's also the "cost of survival" for less than death.
We've have had three good friends who in normal circumstances had it bad enough that they would have been hospitalized. Two are in their 30s and one in their 50s. All of three were nearly completely bedridden for 3 weeks. The one in their 50s still has some Long Covid symptoms, and each vaccine shot lays them out for 2 days. One of the 30s had a relapse shortly after their initial
infection; they've since been vaccinated but caught it a 3rd time this summer
(probably Delta) which waylaid them for another ~1.5 weeks. That's a lot of time off from work.
Meantime, my niece's family had it rip through them and the youngest has brain damage ... a permanent "preexisting condition" which will make their healthcare insurance more expensive for the rest of their life...assuming that they can have a normal life & be gainfully employed, etc.
At work, got a "dodged a bullet" this summer when a very fit coworker in his 30s
caught it after we had a business trip together in July: he was down hard for
a week, then part-time (& fuzzy) for a second week; I can tell that he's still not
back to 100%...I'd say he's more like 75%.
Hundreds of thousands of people die worldwide from the flu every year.Because there's no difference at all in Risk:Benefit for this comparison? /s

YES, land of the free. Not land of the pussies.Just the land of the fucking stupid dumbasses now, unfortunately, who believe that they have zero accountability back to their own community.
You're trying to insist that you have the right to be the asshole neighbor with the 200dB leaf blower who starts it at 4AM every morning outside
your neighbor's bedroom window.
