Apple reported their latest Mac sales today, May 5, 2023. The reported decline in $ sales was 31.3%, in line with the 34.2% unit sales drop reported by Gartner last month. Latest Apple segmental sales put the Mac just above the iPad, and 4th placeamong the 5 Apple-reported product segments. That is an improvement. For the first half of Apple's fiscal year Mac sales are the smallest of the 5 segments, trailing even iPad.

To be fair, the entire PC market shrank in the latest quarter.

13 years.
Except for 2 years during the "pandemic", when everyone had to buy a
Windows laptop so they could work from home.
Which is a very telling bit of info. Why did everyone need to buy a
Windows PC? Because no one had one, of course.
Why? Because very few people NEED a Windows PC at home these days.
Now that the "pandemic" is over, watch out for Windows PC sales to
further drop as the market gets flooded with used Windows laptops that
are no longer needed at home, and are being sold on eBay to raise cash
for things that people DO need at home. Like phones and iPads.
I would not be surprised to see some consolidation in the Windows PC
market in the next year or 2. A merger or someone dropping out.
There are too many companies chasing a shrinking market.
