    Hi Jolly Roger,

I realize you're an iKook so this is only the _third_ time I've needed to explain I give people what they ask for when I gift them electronic items.

Some of which are iPads (although most are Androids, some are iPhones).
    <https://i.postimg.cc/Xq5SpS4D/tmopromo02.jpg> $15/mo iPhone,$0/mo Android

Some of which I get back, over the years, as the kids grow out of them.
    <https://i.postimg.cc/CKKrrJQK/books04.jpg> Three iPads & a few books

And some I only recently purchased (e.g., this half-price iPhone 12 mini).
    <https://i.postimg.cc/YC1B906F/tmopromo01.jpg> A32-5G & iPhone 12 contract

Currently there are two iPads and one iPhone on my T-Mobile monthly bill.
    <https://i.postimg.cc/L6dFGXVd/tmopromo03.jpg> $100 for 6 lines + $16 fees

But I still have my iPods which is where I learned how bad iTunes is:
<https://i.postimg.cc/fRtZFGSt/sharepod01.jpg> itunes removes functionality HINT: You _lose_ functionality the instant you install iTunes on Windows!

Heck, unlike you, I even have college textbooks in addition to my iPads! :)
    <https://i.postimg.cc/cJD2dPnY/books03.jpg> Immunology, Biochem, Microbio

Fancy that. I am highly educated, and, get this, I also own iPads.

Getting back to the question, it's clear Apple tracks you by your
mothership account where it's just as clear that Steve loves News+.

My question, which you iKooks hate because you actually _hate_ everything
about Apple that isn't complementary to Apple, is why would anyone fall for
an app that tracks your ever move, when they can get one that does not?

    It's a simple question.
Do you know the answer or not?

Since Apple tracks your activities by your apple id, can't an iOS user
get the same functionality of the News+ app without Apple tracking them?

    Hi Chris,

It's a simple question that all you iKooks are so afraid of after all.

Just like you earned your PhD, allegedly in the life sciences...
    <https://i.postimg.cc/SN3cbGv0/books08.jpg> Immunology and iPads

Meanwhile, my query is valid which is that I observe Steve has the hots for News+ and yet, it's likely that News+ requires a login to the mothership.

If it requires a login to the Apple mothership, then Apple tracks you.
It's that simple. Otherwise Apple wouldn't require the mothership login.

Now... I said from the start I've never used News+, and, I've said from
the start that I refuse to continually log into Apple's mothership.

I am well aware that Apple _forces_ that constant login, and I proved it.
    <https://i.postimg.cc/8k3GQyj4/appleid09.jpg> Apple requires tracking you

I also proved that Google does NOT require the mothership tracking account.
<https://i.postimg.cc/NG5pHyBx/aurora10.jpg> No need for a Google Account

I fully realize you iKooks _hate_ the fact that only Apple requires the mothership tracking account to track all your activities - but so be it.

The key question to be answered here, despite you iKooks being afraid of
all facts about Apple ever being discussed, is whether or not Steve can get
his vaunted News+ functionality _without_ constantly being tracked by the
Apple mothership (i.e., can News+ work as Steve wants it to, but WITHOUT
having to log into the Apple mothership tracking account).

It's a simple question that all you iKooks are so afraid of after all.
