• The inferior iOS keyboard replaced on the new phone!

From Thomas E.@21:1/5 to All on Fri Sep 23 15:38:18 2022
By Google's keyboard. It has numbers as long holds on the top row of keys and period key at the bottom. Optional keyboard layouts are available. I chose white letters and black background. Others are available.

    Apple's is so 2015.

Except for the part about making sure of your privacy when you use
    alternate keyboards..

That does not bother me. I understand the trade-off.

Another way to look at it is that Apple has for years provided a native keyboard that is missing many great features long available on Android devices and iOS apps like Grammarly. Thus, a privacy tradeoff may be required if you want to access those
    features.

This is what happens when a company has market power.

Market power is owning both the OS and hardware in an unbreakable tie-in and earning almost all the glopbal smartphone net profit.

No. That is called being a successful company.

Android has 70% market share. Surely SOMEONE is making money on Android phones.

I assume that you will now trot out the “Apple is a monopoly” horse shit.

That "lying little shit" actually describes you to a T.

Apple has market power based on the OS/hardware tie-in. If they abuse that power then the Justice Dept and FTC get interested in pursuing antitrust action.
