Tucked away in !Boot>Library there is an app <whois> it is dated 24 Jan
2008. Any attempt to use it results in an "Internal error: undefined instruction at &000087A4"
I know that WHOIS searches can be done through web pages but is there a
later application to use natively?

I've got version 4.7.8 10-Oct-2005 which works under RO5.28 on a Pi 4B.
It's in with a lot of other GNU utilities, so I'm not sure where it came >from.
