I have written a program, AppLink, to generate "link applications" similar
to those the OS provides in "Resources:" for internal apps and apps stored
in the Apps directory.
These are (relatively) small applications providing access to an existing application's Run files, and Boot and Help files where these exist, such as they mimic the behaviour of the application itself when double-clicked on
or when the Help file is accessed from the filer menu.
Such a link can enable you to have multiple links to a single version of an application, enabling you to easily use the filer as - well - a filing
system! Thus you can have many references to a single application filed
under as many different "headings" as you wish.
Consequently you only need to keep up to date the single copy of the application, whilst being able to access it from many filer locations as if
the full application itself were stored there.
The complete Help file and a download link are available at:
http://le.petit.four.free.fr/Software/applink.htm
so please look there if you would like more information.
The application Help file itself provides a valid e-mail address for correspondence.
