We are pleased to announce the release of new versions of !MusicMan and !MusicCD - v2.22.

For those unfamiliar these programs provide CD playback on modern
digital-only CD drives (analogue playback supported for legacy machines),
with automatic online-lookup of CD info and track listings, amongst other features.

MusicCD is supplied with our range of RISC OS computers, and also as part
of NutPi/ePic.

MusicMan, the more comprehensive product, ads the ability to convert audio
into a wide range of digital formats, with/without compression (MP3, FLAC,
OGG, WAV etc). It allows information (including album art) to be embedded within the tracks, and produces high quality results with an emphasis on hifi-compatibility. Indeed, it can produce superior results than
competing non-RISC OS solutions in some cases.


Both versions have been updated to be compatible with the latest 5.27+
versions of RISC OS, and since the industry-standard FreeDB database
system was closed two weeks ago, have been migrated to new database
servers for CD lookup, so that this functionality continues to work
correctly.

In the move to 2.22 codebase, MusicCD also gained some of MM2's online
research capabilities, which allow you to investigate album artwork and
get info on composer or artists online.

Owners of RCI computers can download MusicCD updates from their respective download areas, and a new NutPi/ePic build has been supplied to ROOL.

MusicMan 2 updates can be downloaded via !Store.
